The S-K9 ChestCollar is a walking collar and lead system that gives a dog early, movement-linked contact – the Chest Touch and the Collar Touch. It does not rely on handler-delivered correction. It is not a training programme, and not a medical or veterinary device.

Please read this page before using it. By using the S-K9 ChestCollar, you acknowledge the guidance below.

Intended use
The S-K9 ChestCollar is designed for walking dogs on a lead, with a handler who stays present, attentive and aware of their surroundings.
It is not intended for:
- tethering or tie-outs
- unsupervised containment
- vehicle restraint
- long-term confinement
- sporting, pulling or load-bearing activities

Fitting and checks
- Check the fit before every walk. Follow the size guide and adjustment video.
- Inspect the ChestCollar regularly for wear to webbing, stitching, buckles and D-rings. Stop using it if anything is damaged.
- Use a suitable lead: a standard lead of 5–6 ft. Do not use long lines or retractable leads.
The collar is linked to the torso strap by a dorsal strap, and the lead pathway runs through the structure, so there is no loose loop for a dog to back out of. Fitted correctly, it is designed to make escape extremely difficult. No equipment is fully escape-proof, so check the fit before every walk.
If your dog is a known escape risk, take extra precautions – such as a second lead or a secure area – until you are confident in the fit.

Supervision
Use the S-K9 ChestCollar only under active supervision. Never leave your dog unattended while wearing it.
Remove the S-K9 ChestCollar when your dog is:
- at home
- in a crate
- in a vehicle
- in an enclosed or unsupervised space
- off lead

Environmental risk
The S-K9 ChestCollar does not remove environmental risk. You remain responsible for managing traffic, other animals, children, cyclists, wildlife and terrain hazards.
The S-K9 ChestCollar is designed so you don’t need to correct or time anything – but that never means ignoring safety. Near roads, children or other dogs, step in whenever you need to.

Health and physical condition
Do not use the S-K9 ChestCollar without veterinary advice if your dog has:
- a spinal injury
- a neck, chest or shoulder injury
- a respiratory or cardiac condition
- a neurological disorder
- had recent surgery
If in doubt, consult a qualified veterinary professional before use.

Behavioural history
Dogs with a history of severe aggression, panic responses, escape behaviour or extreme reactivity should be introduced to the S-K9 ChestCollar gradually, and only with professional guidance. The S-K9 ChestCollar does not replace behavioural support where it is needed.
No behavioural guarantees
We describe what the S-K9 ChestCollar is designed to do and what we have observed on walks. We do not guarantee behavioural change, reduced reactivity, an end to pulling, or any particular emotional outcome. Every dog learns differently.

Responsibility and liability
Dog walking involves some inherent risk: animals are unpredictable and environments change. You remain responsible for your dog and its actions.
We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by misuse of the S-K9 ChestCollar, incorrect fitting, use with an unsuitable lead, use contrary to this guidance, or continued use of a damaged product.
Nothing on this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for liability under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law. It does not affect your statutory rights.
